Stamp Refresh by Henry Van Dusen

Henry Van Dusen is an artist, teacher, and programmer living in Brooklyn, NY.

Van Dusen publishes image-making software on his website candusen.net. He uses this software to create digital images which he brings to the physical world via screen prints, plotter drawings, painting, fabrics, tile mosaic, and more.

Stamp Refresh was created in 2014 with the software on https://candusen.net/stamp, which is available for public use. The program simulates stamping holes into colorful sheets of paper. This image was created in a matter of seconds and remained digital for 7 years until 2021 when it was printed in an edition of 7 at Kingsland Editions in Brooklyn.
